some people are not very keen on having a theme for their wedding, it is more popular now then it was 10 years ago. They gift your marriage ceremony day a moment of added merriment and personality. Themes should run across the whole wedding, invites decorations and the wedding cake is very authoritative.
An English vintage wedding style is very popular at the moment, the use of pastel colours would be good for this style and old fashioned serif fonts, like a circus type font for the invites.
Art Deco fashion themed marriage ceremony is as well really popular, the guests could dress up in the 1920's cocktail dresses of that era and you can decorate the room with Art Deco ornaments and even an Art Deco wedding ceremony cake.
For the adventurous, how about a Medieval style wedding, where the invites could be in the style of a sealed wax scroll, a medieval style banquet and pig roast for the food and even get the groom to dress up in armor!
If you are getting married in the winter months you could have a Winter Wonderland theme with fairy lights, a snow machine, lots of silver colours and ribbons. A sparkly snow flake wedding cake would work well with this theme
A Japenese themed wedding would use mainly a red and black colour scheme, you could use bonsai trees as the centerpieces. you would have to have sushi as your food.
You can get inspiration for your wedding by looking at the venue and researching the style and build of the property and mach your wedding theme to that. If you choose an english heritage venue then this would suit a vintage style of wedding, where as venue built around the 1920's would suit an Art Deco theme.
If you decide to make your own decorations for your wedding then you will need to get lots of help, depending on your wedding party size it could take weeks to get all the cutting, sewing and colouring done. Make sure you don't forget to get the wedding cake made though when planning your wedding.
